Background
Richard studied at Nottingham Unversity and has worked in both Nottingham and Bristol. He joined the practice in 1992, was made an Associate Director in 1997 and a Group Director in 2006. He specialises in concept and detail design of major projects. Richard is an RIBA Trophy Design Award winner.

Typical Experience
· Concept Architect for the Master planning and re-development of part of the Huntingdon Town Centre.
· Design Team Leader for a new £12.5m Combined Justice Centre and £4m new offices for Cambridgeshire County Council, plus refurbishment and conversion of Grade 2 and 2* houses to apartments, all in Huntingdon.
· Concept Architect for the £30m re-development of the ex. Odeon cinema site in the Market Square, Nottingham.
· Concept Architect and Design Team Leader responsible for a new 15000sqm headquarters building in the City of London, value £28m. Completed 2004.

· Concept Architect for the £6m Multi-Modal Transport Interchange at Birmingham International Airport. The project connects rail, bus and car traffic to the airport via a new cable operated rail system. Completed 2003.
· Architect for the £17.5m new East Midlands Parkway Railway Station at M1 Junction 24, for Midland Mainline.
· Project Architect for a new 8000sqm Computer Control Centre and offices for the management of the rail network in central York. The project was completed on programme in July 2000.
· Project Architect for the New Air Traffic Control Towers at East Midlands Airport, John Lennon Airport and Bristol International Airport.
· Project Architect and Designer of a new 1500sqm office building for solicitors specialising in International Patent Law. The building is set in the Nottingham city centre Conservation Area.
· Project Architect for Nottingham Health in the fast track £5m refurbishment of an 8000sqm 1920s hospital building to contain 8 relocating outpatient departments. The project was completed in 12 months from inception to completion.
