Greater Nottingham LIFTCo is a public-private partnership. LIFT stands for Local Improvement Finance Trust and is a government initiative to supplement investment in health and social care premises. LIFT will have a significant impact on communities not just by re-building local facilities, but also on the services which can be provided with them and wider social regeneration. The Greater Nottingham LIFTCo will be developing health, social care and local authority premises in partnership with local public sector organisations over the next 25 years.
     

Carlton

Carlton
Primary Care Trust services and the existing GP practice on the site were successfully moved into their temporary accommodation in mid May 2004. The old building was demolished to allow for the construction work on the new centre to start at the beginning of September 2004. Work is now completed and the handover of the facility from Laing O'Rourke to Gedling PCT took place in December 2005.

stapleford

Stapleford
Construction work on the new centre began at the beginning of August 2004 and completed early in 2006. No temporary moves were necessary as an alternative site for the new buildings had been secured.

Keyworth

Keyworth
Work started on-site in February 2006 and will be completed by Easter 2007. The project is phased to maintain an existing GP practice on land adjacent to the site, until they relocate into the new premises. The old health centre will be demolished and the car park extended to provide surface parking.

 

Clifton

Clifton
Primary Care Trust services and the GP practice were moved into their temporary accommodation at the end of July 2004. The existing Health Centre and Welfare Clinic were then demolished to allow construction work on the new centre to start at the beginning of September 2004. The building itself was completed in December 2005, with the remaining external works being completed by June 2006.

 

Mary Potter

Mary Potter Centre
This four-phase new-build maintains service operation throughout the full re-development of this inner city brown-field site. Decant and demolition works commenced December 2005 in preparation for phase 1 new-build works which began in March 2006. The new centre will be completed and ready for occupation in May 2008.
