Background
Sara joined the practice in 1994 after graduating in 1992 at Nottingham Trent University. A talented designer with superb analytical skills, Sara has made a major contribution to the practice development which was recognised with her appointment as a Group Director.
Her experience encompasses not only design, but also job running, contract administration and brief development, building close working relationships with user clients to ensure that detailed requirements are addressed.
Typical Experience
· Interior Designer for £12.5m new digital arts facilities for University of Teesside.
· Interior Designer for White Rose Award winning Student Health Centre at Sheffield University.
· Interior designer & brief co-ordinator for £19.6m new build campus for Warrington Collegiate.
· Project designer and stakeholder liaison for the ITN Stage of the Rotherham Group of Schools PFI, for the extension and new build of 5No primaries.
· Project designer & co-ordinator for the new £4.5m Moathouse Primary School and Early Years Centre in partnership with Coventry City Council, New Deal for Communities and Gallifords.
· Job runner at design stage and client liaison for the new Post-16 and Performing Arts Centre at Coundon Court School & Community College, Coventry.

· Interior Designer and brief co-ordinator for £20.8m Bilborough College for the education of 16-19 year olds. Separately appointed to assist the college in the procurement of loose and specialist furniture.
· Brief analysis and development of user requirements and interior design solutions for the Timson and Kilyon Buildings providing primary teaching accommodation and a new £1.4m dining facilities and assembly hall at the Fairfield School.
· Refurbishment of the 10,000m² Portland Building for the University of Nottingham, providing teaching accommodation, Student Union facilities and the central catering services for the entire campus. Project value £4m.
· Technically complex new Materials Engineering Laboratory building for the University of Nottingham. Project value £2.5m.
· New teaching, dining and assembly facilities for the Loughborough Endowed Schools.
· The Park Octagon, 22 luxury apartments, including 2 bespoke penthouses in a former 1970s office building in Nottingham’s prestigious Park Estate.
· £20m Bridlington Schools PFI, incorporating the refurbishment, extension and new build facilities for primary and secondary education. The primary responsibility during a twelve month design period involved user client liaison and detailed briefing, liaison with the DfEE and client technical representatives, and co-ordination of architectural presentation.
