Public transport is a major issue of our time, for this government, or for any other. CPMG is committed to the transport sector, and sees the integration of all forms of transport as an essential ingredient of any successful overall public transport policy.

It must be acknowledged that there will always be journeys which can only be accomplished by private car, an essential part of any integrated transport system. But this carries a penalty in terms of congestion, pollution, and sustainability.

Integration of transport systems offers the opportunity to satisfy the commuter market, which creates maximum transport volumes at peak periods, and is therefore the most advantageous initial route to pursue. Rail has a crucial role to play in this equation.
