Kitty Café, Leeds
The Kitty Café concept combines a cat rescue centre with a café serving hot and cold dishes and drinks. Having started in Nottingham, the team behind Kitty Café launched a second venue in Leeds.
We were asked to develop and create a feline-friendly interior space and a fresh new visual brand with accompanying merchandise to support the new venture.
To ensure the cats had the freedom to move around the building and remain active, we designed bespoke shelves, bridges and posts with a bespoke 60cm wide rope scratching post.
We created a space back-of-house specifically for cat naps which features a private luxury cat snug, which the cats can access through holes in the wall.
The café is full of natural, outdoor elements and materials to make the cats feel as comfortable as possible, including birch posts, tree logs and faux greenery. Large windows ensure plenty of natural light and an air conditioning unit maintains a feline-friendly temperature.
Our team also aligned the branding to the Kitty Café's interior, to create a commercial and professional finish to the visual identity.
