Project Greengrass, Peterborough
Peterborough is home to a unique headquarters office building for several divisions of British Sugar, a subsidiary business of Associated British Foods. The Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) top 25 company required individual departments within the building that could express their own identities, whilst continuing to be a building that encourages identification with a company-wide ethos.
Providing space for 300 employees, the building also includes training and conferencing facilities, a café and focal atrium meeting spaces. It incorporates passive design principles to achieve a low-energy solution.
The building is seen by the client as a vehicle for achieving organisational change, modernising working practices and engaging staff with the strategy for the future of the business.
