Rezidor Hotel, Glasgow
The conversion of the historic Pearl Assurance Building on West George St in central Glasgow to create an 86-bedroom lifestyle hotel, initially branded Rezidor, the hotel aimed to create a new kind of hotel experience embracing an aspirational lifestyle.
A change of direction and ownership of the building our team were retained to re-design the hotel for a new brand, the Italian Fashion House Missoni. The acquisition of additional space at ground floor enabled a much more ambitious approach to the design of the restaurant and bar areas whilst the change to a 5* rated brand required a different approach to the air conditioning of the bedrooms.
Following the development of detailed design proposals, and resubmission for approvals, the building has changed ownership once again and has been realised as a Park Inn.
