Rolls-Royce Combustion Services, Hucknall
This building occupies part of the Rolls-Royce site, off Watnall Road, Hucknall, Nottingham. Car parking for 200 cars, including disabled spaces, and covered areas for 30 cycles and 20 motorcycles is provided to the site.
It comprises approximately 1,1475 square metres for the production of combustion components for aircraft engines, approximately 1,000 square metres of gantry areas and approximately 1,555 square metres of office area and facility areas. Entry is via a lobbied entrance foyer leading to a tiled and carpet finished entrance which provides a link into the factory.
From the entrance area, the two-storey offices are accessed at ground and first floor. The accommodation includes plant room, lockers, toilets, first aid, meeting and conference rooms.
The offices comprise open plan and cellular office areas, meeting, conference rooms, and plant. All floors are provided with a raised access floor to the office areas for servicing. The building is based around a steel framed structure clad with insulated composite wall panels, grey tinted glass strip glazing. The roof is a curved aluminium standing seam insulated type.
