Kemball SEN School Interiors, Stoke on Trent
The award-winning special educational needs (SEN) school in Staffordshire is at the heart of a warm and vibrant community.
Situated on the existing Blurton school campus and co-located with the Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, the co-located site creates two clearly defined areas for the two schools. A unified landscape solution and a shared palette of materials integrates the two sites.
The £11.6m SEN school has 22 classrooms and also benefits from a soft play room, specialist physiotherapy gym, hydrotherapy pool, and external sensory play equipment.
Built with fabric first principles and an inherent flexibility to futureproof its use, the school will grow and develop along with its pupils. Catering for 140 pupils with severe, moderate and multiple learning needs, Kemball School is an inspiring learning environment.
