Library Refurbishment Phase II, Teesside University
The refurbishment of Teesside University’s central library – a facility which has a pivotal role for every student and visitor to the campus. The library provides a central resource for all faculty areas, and also a popular ICT resource which is open for significantly extended hours.
The second phase completely reinvents the first floor of the existing building, providing a rich variety of group-working and collaborative environments in a way which encourages innovative use and thinking. The removal of cellular spaces and the introduction of large, full-height windows in each corner of the building, flooding the internal space with daylight and allowing fantastic views out over the campus.
