Cranfield University Break Ground with the Latest Aerospace Design

We’ve really spread our wings with the latest design that has started on site at Cranfield University. The new Aerospace Integration Research Centre (AIRC) will bring academic research by the university and co-investment partners, Rolls-Royce and Airbus, within a purpose-built environment.

The pioneering centre will house a 40 metre open laboratory space for large airframe projects, presentation and visualisation space alongside state-of-the-art simulation facilities. Researchers and engineers from Cranfield, and its partner companies, will be working closely together in an open plan office environment on the top floor helping to shape the future of aircraft design.
