Footballer goes back to school
Former England player and Derby County manager Nigel Clough officially opened the newly completed works at The Ecclesbourne School in Duffield, Derbyshire.
Ecclesbourne is a 1420-pupil secondary school and have worked with us since 2012 to design and deliver the initial phase of the sports centre and to advise on the evaluation of the Masterplan.
One of our key tasks was to co-ordinate the preparation of the various Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA) and Academies Capital Maintenance Fund (ACMF) funding applications. Working closely with the school, CPMG had significant success throughout the process.
As a result, we successfully managed a number of consecutive projects – from funding bid to realisation, steadily transforming the school’s internal environment and increasing its capacity. The projects include: first phase of the sports centre, modern foreign languages building, maths block extension, enhanced dining and catering facilities, dining waiting area and the internal redevelopment of the post-16 science base, drama studio and music department. It came with a total contract value of £3.7 million.
