Another transformational project at DMU

Following a £3.0m investment from DMU the newly transformed Campus Centre is now up and running. The vibrant facilities provide a new home for DSU (De Montfort Students Union) and create a fantastic hub for students to relax and socialise. On the ground floor is a new reception zone, the DSU shop and accommodation services. Visitors can eat and drink in a selection of outlets including Milly Lane’s, Starbucks and Subway. The new look catering facilities also include a Heat and Eat station for student to prepare food made at home.

The main feature to the redevelopment is the introduction of a grand staircase rising up through a void to the first floor creating a light and bright environment easily accessible to all.

The upper floor houses the DSU officers and facilities for the student societies and sports clubs. Alongside these is a new advice centre and a series of seating ‘pods’ for visitors to chat, relax or work
