The redevelopment of De Montfort University’s Campus Centre is nearing completion.

As part of the university's campus transformation, this project will see the Campus Centre revamped to provide a modern and inspiring environment. The Vijay Patel Building re-orientates the focus of the campus and re-houses the catering facilities thus creating space for the Students’ Union to expand to the ground floor, where it now occupies a prominent position adjacent to the new public pathway.

A large void has been created between ground and first floor and the dramatic new staircase is in place. The ground floor is opened up improving access and glazing has been introduced at first floor level allowing visual connectivity with the newly landscaped Mill Lane.
