CPMG ‘gets busy living’ with Matt Hampson Foundation
We are delighted to have presented a cheque to the Matt Hampson Foundation, having raised £2,750 during our Dark Peak Challenge - a 27-mile charity walk through Derbyshire. Alongside other local companies, our team took on the challenge last summer to fundraise for the charity.
The money has been put towards a newly opened rehabilitation centre ‘Get Busy Living’ in Leicestershire, which has been designed for those who have suffered life-changing sporting injuries.
Matt Hampson, a former England Under-21 and Leicester Tigers prop and the driving force behind this new facility, suffered a life-changing accident during a training session in 2005 and set up the foundation to offer support and assistance to those who have had similar life-changing experiences.
Matt’s story is hugely inspiring and the work the foundation does in helping people with serious injuries and disabilities is just incredible. As well as lending our support to the Get Busy Living Centre, we also committed to fundraising for the Matt Hampson Foundation and we are incredibly pleased to have raised nearly £3,000.
We have also recently raised £1,750 for Nottingham homeless charity Framework through the Dragon’s Back Challenge across the Peak District earlier this year.
