CPMG’s annual charity walk - hike for charity
We are thrilled to announce the details of our annual charity walk, which will raise money for Nottingham based charity and housing association Framework Nottingham.
Taking place on Saturday 21st July, we’re inviting friends of CPMG to embark on the Dragon’s Back Challenge, a 27 mile walk starting and finishing in Hartington in the beautiful rolling hills of Derbyshire in the Peak District.
The walk will take in the stunning sights of Pilsbury Castle, Chrome Hill, Parkhouse Hill and Manifold Valley. As usual, the walk will be supported by our mobile tuck shop fleet, and will finish at a cosy country pub for a well-earned drink.
Starting at 7am, the walk will take around 7 hours. Each entrant has a target of £100 per person, with an entry fee of £25. All entry fees and sponsorship will be donated to Framework, a charity and housing association dedicated to helping homeless people in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
CPMG’s charity walk has been an annual fundraising activity since 2009, when we hiked 42 miles across Lyke Wake Walk and raised £3500 for Breast Cancer Care. This year we’re aiming to raise over £3000 – donations can be made via our JustGiving page.
If you’re interested in participating in the walk, please get in touch with director Paul Bodill.
