Flexible office space designed for Euston's Evergreen House
This year, our interior design team worked with Bayanix fit out contractors to deliver BE Office’s new flexible office space in Evergreen House in Euston, London.
BE Offices is the UK’s leading provider of flexible office space solutions and London’s second largest independent serviced office provider.
The project comes following the rise of flexible working space for companies in the UK, which offers alternatives to the traditional office solutions, allowing companies to have versatile and dynamic spaces to suit a variety of professional needs.
Working with the properties of the building, we created a comfortable, yet smart and professional space which acknowledges that agile working requires a blend of spaces to promote wellbeing and productivity.
We are really excited to have delivered this project for BE Offices. The company shares our understanding of the importance of creating inspiring business environments and the power they have over those all-important first impressions. At CPMG we work hard to create inspiring spaces in which companies and employees feel comfortable, supported and productive. Evergreen House allows businesses of varying sizes to benefit from this enjoyable and effective working environment.
After all, different environments promote different working styles, interactions and activities. For Evergreen House, we developed a minimal palette of materials, lighting and furniture which could be sensitively manipulated to create environments with distinctive identity, personality and function.
Evergreen House has large break-out areas, private office suites and a roof garden which offers an essential tranquillity when working in the capital.
A simple, neutral colour palette was used. In the break-out zones a graphite grey timber feature lining with integrated light fittings wraps the ceiling and walls, terminating as bench seating. This frames the unique views across London, in this central core of facilities where people can relax or break-out and capitalise on the view. Glass partitions separating the main circulation route of the space provided a panoramic experience when moving through the space.
The WCs, which are in the central core of the building, have no natural daylight so the use of back-painted glass and porcelain floor tiling ensure that light and quality are reflected in these spaces.
Evergreen House is not just a great place to work, the environment embodies the ethos of the company, the quality of its portfolio and its focus on creating space where people want to be.
