Working with Cranfield University to enhance world-class research facilities
We have been awarded new contracts by Cranfield University which will see four new buildings developed on the university’s growing campus, as part of its 25-year masterplan.
The specialist nature of the new research facilities will positively impact on the university’s work to inform industry strategy and shape decision-making at a national and international scale. The research buildings include the Agri-Informatics building, Water Sciences Building and Pilot hall. These buildings will enhance research and learning facilities for staff, students and visitors.
The ground-breaking Agri-Informatics facility will create a new home for the university’s National Soil Inventory. Housing soil samples and maps from around the world the facility will consolidate data and resources into a leading centre for soil science and data analysis.
A new Water Sciences Building will deliver industrial-scale research and testing facilities for scientists, engineers and students and a new Pilot hall will extend the existing sewage works. Some of the building’s unique design features include a storm water tank, test and control sewer loop and gas emissions test facility.
We have worked with Cranfield University previously to deliver the multi-award-winning Aerospace Integrated Research Centre (AIRC) and are proud to support the wider campus redevelopment programme.
