Work has begun on a new £6.3 million leisure centre
We are currently working with Morgan Sindall on designs for the new Market Rasen Leisure centre which is due to open in late Spring 2020. The centre on Gainsborough Road, West Lindsey is set over two storeys and includes a 3G pitch, multi-use fitness studios, dance studio, a four court sports hall, a 40-station gym, changing facilities and a meeting room/party hosting area. The plans were first announced in June 2018 and approval was given for the leisure centre in February 2019, construction work began on June 1st 2019.
The council's leisure partner Everyone Active is appointed to manage the £6.3m facility which extends and enhances the council's leisure provision across the district.
Councillor Jeff Summers said: " It is the most significant investment in the town for many years and forms the beginning of a new initiative to energise the economy for Market Rasen. I hope you will all make use of this fantastic facility, which will open up the opportunities for people of all ages, once the build is complete."
