Completed refurbishment at Trent College 6th form centre
We’re delighted to be continuing our relationship with Trent College and after our recent interior design projects to refurbish the boarding accommodation and The Elms, we’ve now completed the refurbishment of the sixth form centre. The learning resource centre creates an inspirational environment providing quiet study zones and group work areas to support different learning styles. Creative ways of learning and studying together are further enabled with a mix of loose furniture which can be configured in a variety of settings. The new social hub with its café bar encourages social interaction where students can relax and play games.
The overriding principle in the creation of these attractive spaces was to provide the best environment to promote study, excellence and growth. To this end, students’ artwork will be displayed making this a truly personalised and aspirational environment, with a distinct sixth form identity.
James Gregory, Director of Operations at Trent College & The Elms, was our enthusiastic client contact throughout and commented on our engagement and interpretation of their brief:
“What sets CPMG apart from the rest is the care taken from initial contact to understand the exact client requirements. The CPMG interior design team headed by Sara Harraway and Ruth Evans have the ability to positively challenge client perceptions at every stage of the design journey to ensure maximum creativity and value is achieved."
"The teams work on the full refurbishment and extension of our 6th Form Centre in 2019 was fantastic. This challenging project addressed the issue of a dated, poorly extended building that had throughout its life had many uses including a WW1 Military Hospital, School Boarding House and Classrooms. The pulling together of Governors, Executive, Staff and Pupil ‘visions’ was an essential part of the process to ensure a wow factor finish liked by all. The end result is a bright, colourful, functional 6th form building which melds social, café, study and functional spaces together as one. We are most grateful to the CPMG team form the end result, we could not have asked for better service and delivery.”
