Nottingham HQ to Showcase Building Heritage with Office Tours

On Saturday 9 September, in partnership with Heritage Open Days, we will be doing 20-minute tours of our Nottingham head office throughout the day. The office, which is located on St Peter’s Gate in the city centre was built in 1874 and is steeped in history.

Starting its journey through the ages as the headquarters of a water company, it then became a longstanding branch of Standard Chartered bank and then Barclays bank. Since then, the building was turned into a bar, then lay empty for several years before becoming our Nottingham home in 2020.

When we took on the lease to the building in 2020, it had been vacant for three years so we knew there would be a considerable amount of work needed to do the building the justice it deserved. Blending CPMG’s forward looking working practices with a building that has so much depth of history has been a great experience for our whole team. We now have a head office that supports our current goals and future as a proud Nottingham business.

Following renovations to the building, we were ecstatic to have won a regional design award from the British Council of Offices in 2022, for our extensive work to restore and retain many of the building’s original 1800s features.
