Designing defence environments that perform, protect and endure
We combine technical expertise with operational insight to design facilities that work in practice, as well as on paper.
Through research, operational collaboration, and engagement with service personnel, delivery partners and the DIO, we shape environments that enhance capability, support wellbeing, and enable operational excellence.
With extensive experience in the design and delivery of defence-related buildings, we combine technical expertise, operational understanding, and architectural excellence. Our capability is further strengthened by work across a wide range of sectors, giving clients confidence that - whatever the building type - we have proven experience delivering environments built for purpose.
Our approach is evident...
In projects such as the Air Traffic Control Facility at RNAS Yeovilton, one of the UK’s largest ATC buildings, designed to provide full visibility of the airfield alongside integrated operational, briefing, and welfare spaces, weather support is seamlessly embedded within the wider operational environment. RNAS Yeovilton issues hourly METAR reports (EGDY) alongside Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAFs), supporting real-time condition monitoring and short-term forecasting (up to 9 hours).
RAF Coningsby
The ATC Facility at RAF Coningsby, where a precisely engineered Visual Control Room provides an uninterrupted 250-degree view across the airfield, made possible by one of the largest cantilevered roof structures of its kind - design that directly supports operational clarity.
At the Soldier Centre, Alexander Barracks, thoughtful design defines wellbeing, the facility brings together dispersed welfare, retail, and support services into a single contemporary hub, improving accessibility and enhancing the experience of recruits and their families at key moments in their journey.

Preparing Assessment Studies is a critical stage in securing approval from the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, forming the foundation upon which all subsequent design, investment, and delivery decisions are made.
These studies are far more than initial appraisals, they are comprehensive, evidence-based reports that rigorously test every potential scenario for a given site or requirement. Within the defence estate - one of the largest and most complex property portfolios in the UK, comprising thousands of assets and sites globally —this level of scrutiny is essential to ensure that infrastructure solutions are operationally effective, resilient, and deliver long-term value.
