July will see the return of our annual charity walk, which this year aims to raise money for Nottingham talent organisation and charity The Television Workshop.

Set to take place on Saturday 8 July, the 29-mile trail and dale challenge starts and ends in the small village of Hartington, adjacent to the River Dove and set within some of the best walking scenery in the UK. The route will see participants pass picturesque views of Dovedale, Biggin Dale and the Tissington Trail, before returning to Hartington via Pilsbury Castle.

Several checkpoints will be set up along the route that boast some of the most breath-taking scenery that the Peak District has to offer, with food, drink and medical supplies available to walkers.

Every year we look forward to this event, from leading on logistics and manning several checkpoints along the route, to giving back to the chosen charities we fundraise for. This year, in aid of The Television Workshop, we aim to use the event to highlight the incredible work the charity does in the development of aspiring young actors from less fortunate backgrounds.

The BAFTA award-winning drama group and casting resource has its home in the centre of Nottingham, not far from our own headquarters and relies heavily on charitable funding to keep its doors open to all young people from all backgrounds. The organisation has many famous names among its alumni, including Vicky McClure, Bella Ramseyand Jack O’Connell.

Alison Rashley, executive artistic director at The Television Workshop said: “Giving young people the helping hand they may need to achieve their full potential is so important. The work we do is all in aid of making the industry accessible, from adopting a talent-first approach and keeping fees affordable.

“We’re really grateful to be the chosen charity for this year's charity walk with CPMG. Any funds raised will be used to fund bursary places that support kids that simply wouldn't have access to the TV industry or the type of training and support that the Television Workshop can provide."
