We are proud to share the ongoing growth of CPMG as we continue to bolster our capabilities across our UK studios in Nottingham, Birmingham and London.

Aligned with our sustainable growth strategy, we’ve strengthened our team across all three locations, enhancing our skills base at every level of the business.

This recruitment activity focused on the enhancement of skills across the business, giving those that are newer to the industry the opportunity to develop alongside the practice’s more experienced experts.

Joining our Birmingham and London studios are part 2 architectural assistant Saad Thobani and architectural student Alice Rallo. Both are working to enhance their growing knowledge with a focus on BREEAM, design and concept development, collaboration with suppliers, client consultation and regulations.

Reinforcing the foundations at our Nottingham headquarters are senior architectural technologist Gary Matthews, with over 20 years of experience in the sector and senior architect Chris Goodwin, who is returning to the practice after 23 years. An ARB and RIBA member, as well as part time tutor at the University of Nottingham, Chris works across multiple focus sectors for the business including schools, residential, leisure and the voluntary sector.

Richard Flisher, managing director, said: “Championing our team across all our locations as they grow and develop at whatever level they may be is something that is heavily engrained in who we are at CPMG. We continue to embody our mission, which focuses on creating spaces while recognising that people's environments are critical to who they are and to their wellbeing."

The past year has seen us undertake design work for a collection of now finalised projects across a range of sectors. This included the Maritime Academy project in Frindsbury, where we provided architecture, interior design and BIM services to develop a Pathfinder sustainable project for the DfE.

Increasing our extensive expertise in the healthcare sector, we designed the 24-bed ward Stirland Ward refurbishment at Nottingham City Hospital. This project increased the modern facilities offered by the hospital, in support of exemplary patient and staff experience.

This year also marks the 10-year anniversary of CPMG’s London studio, following a transformative business strategy developed in 2015. The multi-office vision has helped us to offer our services to more regions, including the ever-changing London market.

Chris White, Director and lead at our London studio, said: “Our transition to the London market 10 years ago was underpinned by a clear vision to embed ourselves as a contender in the capital. We now have 10 talented members in our team and counting. We have occupied a lovely new studio since 2024, with a team fully integrated in our wider business. We’re incredibly optimistic for the future, with our team motivated, empowered and ready for a challenge – as we continue to deliver on the vision we put in place a decade ago.”

"We continue to embody our mission, which focuses on creating spaces while recognising that people's environments are critical to who they are and to their wellbeing."
