Project Overview

The conservation and refurbishment of the Grade II listed Riseholme Hall for the University of Lincoln includes the removal of many sub standard modern additions and the restoration of the significant heritage features to enhance the special character of the hall.

Work includes comprehensive restoration of the roof and ceiling structures and a sympathetic decoration scheme throughout. The refurbished Hall acts as the headquarters for the Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology, a nationally important research facility, and secures the long term future of the locally important building.

Allied to the refurbishment of Riseholme Hall, the adjacent Plowright House is also refurbished as an Eagle Lab for Barclays Bank and nearby Plowright House provides a Agri-Tech hub focussing on the future of farming; it provides state-of-the-art facilities including a robotics lab and events spaces. The works include a full refurbishment of the 1970’s building with new spaces, lighting, and finishes to create a modern facility for emerging technology in the agricultural industry.
